They came after her...

Posted on 2008.02.14 at 14:53
They told her she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Then they came after her like wildfire sweeping through tides of helpless trees. There was nowhere she could hide. She was alone and hunted.

Or so she thought.

a simple poem - for he who waits for me, always

For he who waits for me, even when I make it difficult...know that for you, no matter what, I will always be there.

lover's lullaby

when in dark, turn on the light
the brightness welcomes you
holds you in its arms like a lover's embrace
a moment of heaven
let it go, all the troubles you bear
it has no presence here
l i g h t
love
as i wait, as i will always wait on the other side
in the light, despite my own darkness
i welcome you with my arms
your lover's embrace
beside you always although i am far
no breath has ever been nearer
l o v e
light
when in dark, turn on the light
like a star
i'll shine a way for you to come home.

entering the maze - the beginning as the end

Posted on 2008.02.01 at 22:58
there is no easy way to plot a course through the labyrinth. living a life is living a maze, there's a new corner to turn at every possible second and one never knows where each turn will lead. will it lead to a dream or a failure? will it take you to love or heartbreak? will you turn and meet your destiny or come across another riddle-ridden sphinx whose answers test the bounds of perception? where do you go when you take that one extra step? and inevitably, where does the maze take you? where does every breath lead? closer to the truth you seek? or another doorway perhaps, another existence maybe...or another world, where you exist as part of one and one of all. this is a journey, a quest, and the quill marks the passage...recording the trek through a labyrinthine struggle to understand the magnificent clockwork of our mortal coil. for there is no universe more real than the world you imagine and there's no magic more powerful than the words you write. the quill is the wand of all wanderers, the sorcerer's favorite tool and weapon. let the mind create a scroll for the quill to come alive. eventually we all come full circle. but it is here that we enchant.

non-literary pamphlet on spiritual development

Posted on 2008.02.01 at 12:35
Current Mood: awake

The first step into becoming a human is speaking. The problems emerge when one tries to stop speaking a language and start speaking feelings. And finally, the hardest of all is to learn to cease speaking at all and start creating the world with a quill, so that what appears on the paper is no longer words, but a reality, unyielding and yet fleeting, with all its glory to be stripped off in one instance by the mere will of creation. So is the deal with spiritual development - it is no different from a realization that everything around us is merely an ink secreted by the essence of our mind - the most powerful quill of all. How I see it, is that through writing, in its purest and most devoted form, one can reach a proximity with the divine – for what is the divine if not a logos dressed up in the emperor’s new suit which we fail to see through. Let it be my inspiration word for this writing blog:).
